Competitive Bowling ...
Most weekends we play a “Friendly” match against other local club's, either home or away. This is a great opportunity for anyone new to bowling to get first hand experience of the game but also great practice for the more experienced bowler. This also helps with meeting some of our other members. We consider ourselves to be one of the friendliest clubs around and we can guarantee you will be able to play regularly should you wish.
Pyestock Bowls Club is also members of four local leagues:-
Aldershot and District
Games are played on Tuesday evenings and we have three teams each of four gentlemen, in two divisions.
Games are played on Friday evenings and we have two teams each consisting of three ladies.
Farnham and District
Games are played on Wednesday evenings and we have four mixed teams each consisting of three players.
Games are played on Thursday afternoons and we have three mixed teams each consisting of three players.
Club competitions, open only to members, are held throughout the season. Three of these competitions are one day matches with teams drawn out of the hat.
Knockout competitions for both singles and pairs teams, 9 competitions are open to all members. We also have a Novice Cup which is always keenly contested.
However if you would rather just have a relaxing hour or two with a fellow member or even on your own, you can always enjoy what we call a “roll up”. Just turn up and throw a few bowl's down the rink. We always end the season with with a fun event 'Candlelit Bowls' not to be taken at all seriously and for most the best bit being the fish and chip supper.
